Master Classes

Kostritzky   

Master classes of various genres will be offered by some of the world's greatest artists throughout the two-week festival. These workshops are designed for intermediate to advanced students of dance, and in order to preserve the quality of the experience, class size will be limited. 2008 Master Class Schedule

  • Buckets & Tap Shoes (Funk Tap) – Tuesday, August 5.  3 – 4pm – GRFA Stage, Vail
    • A fun upbeat fusion of funk, soul, jazz, classical, hip-hop, blues and rock 
    • Cost:  $10/per person 
    • Level:  Intermediate & Advanced Students Only 

  • Jazz Class with Richard Amaro – Wednesday, August 6.  4 – 5pm – Vail Valley Academy of Dance, Edwards
    • Mr. Amaro has danced on Broadway and is a world-renowned choreographer and dance instructor. 
    • Cost:  $10/per person 
    • Level:  Intermediate & Advanced Students Only 
  • Ballet Class with Olga Kostritzky – Thursday, August 7.  4 – 5:30pm – Vilar Center for the Performing Arts, Beaver Creek
    • Ms. Kostritzky is from the famed School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet. 
    • Cost:  FREE – This class is generously underwritten by Friends of the Dance 
    • Level:  Advanced Students Only
